SURPRISE!!

Logan left for North Dakota the first week of January and we hadn't planned on seeing each other until Emmy's birthday (in March!). However, he was going to be going to Idaho for a week in the beginning of February to do our taxes. He had begged and begged for me and Emmy to come for the week. I said no. Too expensive. I would see him a couple weeks later anyways. It's too hard for Emmy to handle sitting for a 4+ hour flight.
But....
Little did he know...
I had already booked my flight and was planning to come! I had a lot of help from Travis and Angie, our friends, in making sure he was home in time and helping me surprise him. The day I was flying in I played that I was soooo sick and just could not talk and later that evening (when I would be on the plane and my phone would be off) that I was going to bed to try to "sleep it off". And yes, he believed it. He told his parents (who knew I was coming) that I was super sick. Then that night he had a boys night while Angie picked me up from the airport. We got to the McDonald's where Angie was meeting her husband and the boys and she walked in first-so Logan gave her crap for taking forever- then looked at me. He just STARED. Then it kicked in and he realized I wasn't really sick at all. haha. Probably the best thing ever. It's actually on video so I will probably post that as soon as I get it.

What I thought was going to be a nice relaxing Valentine's week with the hubs, turned into a busy busy no time to relax week.

Saturday- Logan had plans with a realtor to look at possible homes. And here is what happened... I had every intention of saying no. absolutely not. to every single house we walked into. I honestly thought there was no way that I would walk into a house and fall in love with it. First 3 were a no for me. The 4th one I wanted to cry when I walked in. It was perfect. In every way. Then the 5th house was a no. I just loved house number 4 and it consumed our thoughts for the next couple of days.

Monday- We did an early 1st birthday for Emmy with our Idaho friends and family--and Emily of course. We just had everyone come for pizza at Leo's Place in Idaho Falls. We made a little cake for Emmy that she wasn't so crazy about. She wanted it so bad until she touched it then it was obvious she did not want that ooey gooey icing all over her hands. I think the only actual bites she took of the cake were the ones that Logan fed her. She just wasn't very excited about it, so I am hoping that on her official first birthday she will be more excited about it!

Tuesday- We decided we had to have that house. So. We made an offer!

Wednesday- They countered our offer.

Thursday- We accepted! Since that moment we have been working with the bank (now banks) to get it all figured out. We are hoping it all comes together and that we get the house. There will hopefully be another post later all about the house, but until we are officially getting it, that is all. Just know we love it. Hopefully. Hopefully.

Thursday was also Valentine's Day. Logan's mom watched Emmy so that me and Logan could go on a date night. He took me to the SANDPIPER. Before this time I had never been there. I had just heard that that is where people in Idaho take their prom dates or special dates or whatever because it is a nice place. So yeah, you guessed it, Logan has been there many a times. With me? NEVER! Well he finally took me. And since he totally forgot that it was Valentine's Day, he also didn't make a reservation. We ended up having to sit at the bar. Funny thing- Logan's high school buddy was also at the bar with his wife. So we didn't feel so lame haha. After that we went to see Safe Haven. I was SO excited for this movie to come out, and since Julianne Hough was in it, so was Logan. It was a great movie! And much better than The Lucky One. bleck. Don't get me started on that one. Did they even read the book? Helloooooo. Safe Haven was done right thank goodness.

Saturday morning- We went back to Georgia.

Before we went to Idaho, Emmy was starting to get pretty good at walking. Well, while in Idaho, she improved a TON. While there she figured out how to walk across the room, turn around, bend over and pick things up, and even how to go down 2 steps without face planting.

She has also become super talkative. She has started to have full blown conversations.

I don't know if I have already mentioned this, but she LOVES her baby dolls. She goes straight to them if you ask about them. She also loves on her stuffed animals when she sees them.
